Don't Dress for Dinner
April 16 - 18 & 23 - 25, 2010
Having arranged for his wife Jacqueline to visit her mother, Bernard has planned a weekend in the country with his Parisian mistress Suzy and invited his friend Robert to join him as an alibi. He has also arranged for a cordon bleu cook to provide the food. By chance, Jacqueline learns of Robert’s visit (he happens to be her secret lover) and decides to stay at home, throwing Bernard into a total panic. The cook (Suzette or Suzie for short) arrives so Bernard has to introduce her as Robert’s girlfriend; then when his mistress (also called Suzie) turns up she has to pretend to be the cook. Finally the real cook’s husband appears on the scene and Suzie the real cook has to pretend to be … well you’ve probably gathered by now that things are hilariously complicated from start to finish!
